Overview
Kanto Chemical is headquartered in Chuo, Tokyo and makes reagents and process chemicals. Its electronic-grade products include sulfuric acid and hydrogen peroxide for SPM cleaning, ultra-high-purity HF and buffered HF, and other cleaning and etching chemicals.
It also supplies chemicals for CMP and post-CMP cleaning and photoresist strippers, and has plants in Saitama, Kanagawa, Okayama, Fukuoka, Iwate and Mie.
Business: High-purity process chemicals for cleaning, etching and CMP
Why it matters
- Cleaning chemicals touch the wafer surface directly, so metal and particle contamination in them must be kept extremely low.
- Plants close to fab clusters, such as Iwate and Mie, shorten the supply route for heavy, hazardous chemicals.
Main products
- •Electronic-grade sulfuric acid and hydrogen peroxide
- •Ultra-high-purity HF and buffered HF
- •Post-CMP cleaning solutions
- •Photoresist strippers
