Semiconductor Regions of Japan

Japan's chip industry is spread across several regions. Kyushu is the largest cluster, centered on TSMC's JASM fab in Kumamoto; Hokkaido and Tohoku combine the new Rapidus fab with Kioxia's NAND production; Kanto hosts most head offices and many equipment and materials sites.
