Japanese Semiconductor Process Materials Suppliers

Japanese suppliers of the materials consumed in wafer processing: photoresists, high-purity wet chemicals, specialty gases, CMP slurries, sputtering targets, precursors and polyimides.

Overview

Process materials are consumed with every wafer that goes through a fab. Their purity is measured in parts per billion or less, and switching supplier means requalifying the process, so established suppliers keep their positions for a long time.

Japanese chemical companies supply a large part of the world's photoresists and high-purity hydrogen fluoride, and Japanese makers are also major suppliers of CMP slurries, specialty gases, sputtering targets and precursors for thin films.
