Kyushu Semiconductor Region
Kyushu has more of the fabs listed on this site than any other region of Japan. TSMC's majority-owned JASM fab in Kikuyo, Kumamoto, which began production in December 2024, is the newest anchor, and Sony's Kumamoto image sensor fab is in the same town.
