Overview

V93000 EXA Scale is an SoC test system that Advantest announced in September 2020. Its main target is volume testing of advanced digital ICs with very large circuits, such as mobile processors and ICs for HPC and AI.

At its core are the Pin Scale 5000 digital card and the XPS256 power card. Pin Scale 5000 offers 5 Gbps scan test speed and one of the largest vector memories on the market to handle ballooning scan data. Both cards have 256 channels, twice the density of earlier cards, and XPS256 covers power requirements of thousands of amperes below 1 V with a single card type.

The cards are linked by Xtreme Link, a communication network dedicated to ATE, whose high-speed data connections and on-card computing speed up result processing. Higher density lets multi-site configurations fit in smaller systems, reducing equipment cost and floor space.
