Overview

The Platinous J series are ESPEC's temperature and humidity chambers. There are 6 models in all, temperature and temperature-humidity types covering -40 to +100 °C, and models such as PR, PL, PSL, PHP, PDR, PDL and PCR differ in their temperature and humidity control ranges.

The Smart R&D system for refrigeration and dehumidification carries multiple compressors to reduce power consumption. ECO types (such as PL-4J-ECO) cut power consumption by up to 70% compared with the J series. The low global warming potential refrigerant R-449A (GWP 1397) is standard.

Temperature and humidity chambers are basic test equipment used to evaluate the performance of electronic components and semiconductor packages in temperature and humidity environments and for long-term storage tests. ESPEC lists applications such as charge-discharge tests, performance evaluation tests, long-term storage tests and charge-discharge safety tests of batteries (cells, modules and packs).
