Overview
RC1100 is EpiQuest's MBE (molecular beam epitaxy) system for research. Positioned as a low-cost, space-saving, high-performance research MBE, it is designed to let individuals and small-scale research groups carry out serious crystal growth research.
MBE grows crystals at the atomic layer level by directing source materials as molecular beams onto a substrate in ultra-high vacuum. RC1100 is intended for developing new materials and can be combined with analysis tools such as STM (scanning tunneling microscopes).
EpiQuest's lineup also includes RC2100 and RC3100 for more advanced research and pilot production, covering III-V, Si-based, metal and II-VI materials, and RC6100 for production, which grows uniform crystals within ±1% on substrates of 8 inch and larger.
