Overview

M4872 is a test handler from Advantest. For testing high-end SoCs, which are in growing demand for AI, autonomous driving and other uses, it has Active Thermal Control (ATC), which uses high-capacity cooling and heating to keep temperature stable against sudden rises caused by high heat generation.

ATC holds the required test temperature even for high-heat devices, providing a consistent test environment. Being able to handle the heat also gives more freedom in choosing test items.

To keep up with larger and more complex packages, it has Die Force Control, which controls the load on the die area and on the surrounding area separately, preventing device warpage and cracking. It improves contact between the temperature-controlled pusher and the device for more efficient heat conduction.
