Overview

Napson makes instruments that measure resistivity and sheet resistance. The RT-3000/RG-2000 use the four-point probe method, which Napson says gives the widest measurement range in the world for such instruments, and the NC-80MAP measures without contact by the eddy current method, mapping up to 217 points.

Business: Resistivity and sheet resistance measurement

Why it matters

Resistivity maps check wafers, epitaxial layers, implants and conductive films.
