Overview
DAW4110 is an automatic water jet saw from DISCO. It cuts workpieces with pressurized water and abrasive, enabling delicate curved cuts without heat.
DISCO's own technology premixes water and abrasive before discharge, and together with alignment technology developed for dicing saws it achieves high-quality, high-precision curved cuts without heat. It was the world's first water jet saw built for cleanroom use.
It suppresses burrs and smearing on metal and resin and delamination of laminated materials, and cuts inside corners at R0.3 mm with a narrow 0.3 mm kerf. Abrasive is recovered and reused without drying. It is used to cut glass epoxy substrates with copper wiring and materials such as titanium and stainless steel that are easily damaged by heat.
